It is fantastic to see all these good reviews.I am currently working on a coursework for my Master in Translation Studies. When I was asked to choose a comic for my translation into Italian I immediately thought of Seeds.I have loved the book since I first read it and I am getting so much inspiration from the translation.Just want to say thank you.All the bestM.
I'm pleased you like it. Thank you for the lovely comments. Ross.
Dear RossThank you for your answer I got a question for you: on page 17 we find the sign "deatric ward" on panel 3.I have been trying to understand the meaning of "deatric" for days (it might be the end of the word?) and now I am really intrigued to know the solution!Thank youM.
It's the end of the word 'pedeatric' (the first part is hidden). I realise this is spelt incorrectly and should be 'pediatric'! It's a children's ward.
Thank you so much for your answer.. finally it makes sense! All the bestM.
This has nothing to do with the actual post, it's just the only way I've found to contact you, to tell you how much I enjoyed reading Seeds, having lost my own father to lung cancer last year, when he was 72, by the way. I recognized a lot, especially the surrealism of the christian funeral...
Thank you for getting in touch. I know how it feels to want to make contact with people who have gone through the same thing, and I'm glad you liked the book.
i lost my dad to lung cancer that spread to his brain in 2006, he was 63.. everything in seeds were what we, his daughters, were doing for him, not leaving his side until the end.. i still missed him, every single day.. thank you for the story..
I had no idea when I created the book that it would connect with people in such a way, but I'm glad it does. Thank you.
